Gov. Nathan Deal Proclaims June 11-17, 2017, as Paralegal Week in Georgia

ATLANTA (May 8, 2017) | The Georgia Association of Paralegals (GAP) would like to thank Georgia Governor Nathan Deal for proclaiming June 11-17, 2017, as Paralegal Week in the state of Georgia. In celebration of Paralegal Week, GAP has collaborated with the Atlanta Paralegal Association (APA) and the Gate City Bar Association – Paralegal Section (Gate City) to host a series of educational, social and community services activities during Paralegal Week.

GAP was founded in 1973 as the “Atlanta Association of Legal Assistants, Inc.” Its purpose is to enhance the role of paralegals in the legal profession, to improve the working conditions of paralegals, and to maintain a continuing relationship with bar associations throughout the state. GAP is active in community service and pro bono work throughout the Metro Atlanta area and is a strong advocate for paralegal certification and licensure.
